Bank ABC in Jordan Plants Fruit Trees in Cooperation with the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature

Amman, Jordan: As part of its commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability, Bank ABC in Jordan organised an initiative in which its employees planted 500 fruit-bearing trees in the Al-Jeezah area, in cooperation with the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN), under the “Green Caravan” program.

This initiative reinforces the Bank’s culture of employee volunteering and aligns with its sustainable development strategy, which aims to create positive economic, social and environmental impact, and contribute to a more sustainable economy. The initiative also supports farmers in underprivileged areas by reclaiming their lands and planting trees of nutritional and economic value, helping to improve livelihoods, provide sustainable income and reduce poverty and unemployment.

On this occasion, Mr. George Farah Sofia, General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, said: “We take pride in our employees’ participation in this initiative, which reflects our ongoing commitment to society and the environment. Planting fruit-bearing trees not only helps combat desertification but also provides meaningful support to farmers in underprivileged areas, enhancing food security and creating sustainable economic and social impact.”
